345 km in 30 minutes, Travel time between Mumbai and Pune reduces
to 20 minutes…
Will the dream come true in the 'City of Dreams'
Is it possible? The answer is Yes
Yes, it is possible with the brand-new method of transport, Elon
Musk is going to beat all other forms of travel with the tube-like air hockey table named
as Hyperloop.
Passengers will ride in a cushion of air, inside the capsule that operates in a sealed vacuum
environment, the only mode of transport which will run on air bearings with an
average speed of 900 km/hr.
But will this 60000-crore project be successful where 20 global
companies will be investing?
Let’s look at it…., 100 % running on electrical system will reduce
greenhouse gas emissions by up to 150,000 tons annually. It will act
like a generator but not generator off
course. It will generate more power than it consumes. Apart from transforming
lives of people, this fifth mode of transport will eventually support 150
million passenger trips annually, saving more than 90 million hours of travel
time. Though people may suffer Motion sickness due to vibrations caused
in a sealed tube, but precautions will be taken care as soon as People of INDUS start using it.
No doubt Hyperloop will boost the economy as whole, but
which country will own it first?
Virgin Hyperloop One, is "very close" to deploying
the technology in India and was in talks with Dubai and Saudi Arabia about
rolling out its technology but deal with Saudi Arabia got terminated when CEO
Richard Branson halted investment talks.
CEO Richard Branson
is also stepping down as chairman of Virgin Hyperloop. “I feel it needs a more hands on
chair who can focus on the business and these opportunities”, the statement
quoted by Branson.
