Thugs of Hindostan- Produced on an estimated budget of ₹300 crore (US$42 million), Based on Philip Meadows Taylor's 1839 novel (Confessions of a Thug), the movie tells us about a thug, whose nefarious ways posed a serious challenge to the British Empire in India between 1790 and 1805.
The movie takes viewers on a journey during the East India Company rule in India and how a band of pirates struggled and fought against them in the country. From the outfits to the make-up to certain nuances of Aamir's Firangi, everything about Aamir's character seems to be inspired by Depp's iconic role.
