Visually brilliant but technically a sinking ship

Thugs of Hindostan- Produced on an estimated budget of ₹300 crore (US$42 million), Based on Philip Meadows Taylor's 1839 novel (Confessions of a Thug), the movie tells us about a thug, whose nefarious ways posed a serious challenge to the British Empire in India between 1790 and 1805.
The movie takes viewers on a journey during the East India Company rule in India and how a band of pirates struggled and fought against them in the country. From the outfits to the make-up to certain nuances of Aamir's Firangi, everything about Aamir's character seems to be inspired by Depp's iconic role.
Movie got leaked online within hours of release where fans have asked to take legal action against the site.
The performances of Bachchan and Khan attracted praise but Acharya's direction and screenplay received criticism.
